President’s Message

As I write this message, my gardens are snug under a good layer of snow. The weather has been so unpredictable with some very unseasonal temperatures. . However, it is now time to think of Spring and planning for the year ahead. We hope you will enjoy our up – coming programs. Our speakers are experts in their field and bring a wealth of knowledge to share with us. I hope, if you have not participated in competing in our shows, you will consider entering this year. Check the Show Schedule, cut your specimens or create a design and bring them at the specified time. Our Show Committee will be more than happy to help you with placing and if you are unsure how to complete the entry tag, no problem, we will help you with that as well. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Garden Tips

Gardening Tips
Just in case you are missing your garden …….

In March you can be thinking about tuberous begonias! They need to be warmed up before planting in the end of May. Do as Mark Cullen suggests and plunk then on top of the fridge for a bit of warmth.

Please remember to clean all of your gardening tools if you have not already done so. Use a 10% bleach solution to wash them off – let’s get off to a great start for our 2018 gardens!
